Ron Foord has been mining for opal in White Cliffs for 35 years since 1971. In 1989 he & his wife Donna-Lee opened their first opal shop at 'Toms Hut' on the field. In 1991 they opened their beautiful underground showroom called 'Top Level Opals' situated on Smiths Hill.

Ron, not only mines, but also cuts, polishes & manufactures the opal into high quality "Rhonan Jewellery" on sale in the showroom. They have built their reputation on honesty, quality, service & fair prices.

When you visit, Donna-Lee welcomes you & provides an informative talk about dugouts, opal formation & cutting; her friendly manner is most welcoming. Donna-Lee also offers helpful information about other attractions worth seeing while in White Cliffs.
